1 / General objectives of the course

- Introduction to the history of French cinema: discovery of the great movements, films and authors of the appearance of the speaking to our days.
- Introduction to the fundamental concepts of film studies
- Glossary of technical terms
- Written and oral expression

- Presentation of the film, its author and the relevant film movement, by the students
- Full screening of the film

- A class assignment (cinema history, sequence analysis).
- A participation note based on the attendance, initiative, responsiveness and relevance of the interventions

Attendance at table controls is mandatory to obtain the certificate.
Each note takes into account knowledge and expression in French.

6 / Attendance, punctuality:

Maximum number of unjustified absences: three. Beyond that, neither the certificate of attendance nor the certificate of results can be awarded. In case of absence or delay, notify the professor and the secretariat. Provide proof upon return to class. It is up to you to inquire about the work done and the duties required.
