It will enable students to obtain knowledge of models of cognitive, social, emotional and moral development during adolescence. Additionally, students will acquire knowledge concerning risk and protective factors during adolescence. This will then be related to education and students will be given the opportunity to reflect on their own experiences. They will consider a wide range of issues related to the efficient provision of opportunities for adolescent development within education and the wider contexts of their lives.
