Overview
Assessment: critical analysis of a screenplay plus analysis of a piece of screen writing (2000 words) [50%]; screenplay for short film (10-15 min. duration) [50%]
Please note that this module is a pre-requisite for FLM040X325Y (Screenwriting) at level HE3
The module is designed to give students the opportunity to develop an understanding of the skills, processes and conventions of writing for film and television, from initial idea to final script, to analyse the structural, thematic and dramatic elements and conventions of existing scripts and to apply these skills and knowledges both in critical analysis of a screenplay and in in an original piece of creative writing.
