Organisational and Work Psychology is one of the most important applied fields in psychology for students. It is also one of the major applications of Social Psychology and will therefore be a logic continuation of the introduction to Social Psychology in the 2nd year. The module aims to achieve three general goals: Firstly, the module aims to give students an introduction to key topics in Organisational Psychology, so they will have a well-founded overview of key areas. Secondly, the module aims to give students an introduction to different fields of practice for organisational psychologists. This will be achieved by inviting chartered and experienced organisational psychologists for workshop sessions, where they will talk about their work and students will have the opportunity to discuss their interests and questions. Thirdly, the module aims to train students in the skill of presenting their ideas in well-structured, clear-cut oral presentations. Giving oral presentations is one of the key skills and part of everyday work for any organisational psychologist.
