At level HE1, all students take BUS020C438Y (Principles of Economics) as an introductory module in economics. This module builds on the first year work by providing a detailed study of industrial structure and management objectives, decisions and strategic response to competitors. As an intermediate module in microeconomics applied to business, it plays a central role in the Business Economics Pathway, and also provides relevant concepts and analytical skills for students specialising in marketing, human resource management or retail management and marketing.
