Assessment: portfolio consisting of 2 analytical commentaries (4000 words)
This module is intended to offer students the opportunity to develop deeper understanding of policy, provision and practice in early years care and education in relation to children with special needs. This will include a critical examination of theories of disability and integration/inclusion, drawing on a range of international perspectives. The module will emphasise the importance of a multi-disciplinary approach and working with families and will provide an overview of how to support children with a range of physical and learning disabilities.
