The module offers opportunity for wide-ranging, and comparative exploration of key aspects of women's work and achievements in drama, theatre, and performance. It explores: how particular ideologies of gender function in drama, theatre and performance; the potential of gender-informed critical practice for revealing and subverting existing norms of representation; and the range and variety of dramatic and theatrical practice by women.
