Overview
Assessment: laboratory report (2000 words)
This module takes the knowledge gained from 1st year Exercise Physiology on energy provision and uses this as a base to examine a number of common assessment methods in exercise physiology. Theoretical considerations are discussed and the practical application of these methods is used to provide experiential learning. Finally, we consider the most appropriate methods for the physiological analysis of participants in different types of sport or exercise activity. This module acts as a pre-requisite for third year, physiology-based modules. This module can be taken as a 10-credit module by students undertaking a study-abroad programme in the spring term. In this situation you will attend autumn term classes and will only complete the lab report assessment.
