Overview
Assessment: practical/oral group presentation [20%]; notebook demonstrating that the writer has been using the 'toolkit' during the module [50%]; critical reflection essay and works cited list (correctly constructed) [30%]
This module will teach students how to conceive of themselves as creative artists through their engagement with a series of well-established creative writing techniques including a writer?s notebook, free-writing, meditation and mindfulness techniques, close reading, writing in situ, creative visualisation and close observation. Students will be encouraged to work independently and in groups to examine the meaning and significance of creativity, their creative process, and ways to access their writing selves and voices.
