DESCRIPTION

This course is designed to promote active learning and provide many opportunities to practice problems. You will work in groups on problems during the lecture and be assisted by ULAs and the instructor. The groups are assigned based on seating. In order to be productive during class, you must come prepared. This includes reading the assigned textbook sections before class, making an outline of the concepts, and taking the warmup quiz. It will also be helpful to make a list of questions you have to ask during lecture.
ULAs are chosen from the top students who took this course previously. They are specifically prepared to focus on students ideas and facilitate group conversations and conceptual understanding.
