Overview

As organisations expand their business across international borders they need to pay attention to factors that affect the need for integration (adopting a cohesive and coherent approach to doing business) and differentiation (being adaptive to national and local contexts and situations). A key aspect of this is ensuring that the HRM policies and practices adopted within international organisations reflect different institutional contexts and national cultures. We will be exploring academic and practitioner research on comparative and International HRM to help you build the knowledge needed to contribute to organisations that are operating across international borders.
