In this module students are introduced to a selection of classical myths. Students will study a range of topics including myth and ritual, myth and psychology, myth and gender, myth and politics, narrative structures of myth, iconography of myth, modern interpretations of myth. Various ancient and modern theoretical approaches to the study of myth will be discussed.
